Choosing usernames wisely

When creating your artist/band pages, a little consistency is always nice and keeps things looking more professional.

Instead of having:

facebook.com/jamiethesinger
twitter.com/jamiejones
youtube.com/jamiejonessings
and
reverbnation.com/singingjamiejones

Try to think of a username that can be the same on all the sites. This might not always be possible if you have a popular name, so little changes might have to be accepted, but try to keep these changes small.

I wasn't lucky enough when creating this site and had to make slight changes, but changes which will hopefully make sense to everybody.

The way I got over it was to shorten YouTube to YT, so my sites ended up being as consistent as possible.

facebook.com/YouTubeArtists
twitter.com/YTArtists
youtube.com/user/YTArtists

If changes like this won't work for you and your desired name is unavailable then try adding the number 1 to the end.
