Todays Featured Artist on YTA ~ Avery Raquel

Avery Raquel is a singer and pianist from Hamilton, Ontario in Canada.

At just 7 years old she landed a role in the pilot episode of a Steven Spielberg production called “Falling Skies”. Following on from that, Avery appeared in commercials, radio ads, and even lended her voice to one of the lead characters for a Disney animated television series. This then led to a number of professional stage productions across Canada and then her passion for singing quickly grew from that.

Some of the venues that Avery has performed at include Birdland Jazz Club and Metropolitan Room, both of which are in New York City, as well as top Toronto venues The Jazz Bistro, Koerner Hall, Lula Lounge and Hugh’s Room. She has also had many performances on the festival circuit too, at venues such as The Oakville Jazz Festival, Brantford International Jazz Festival, TD Niagara Jazz Festival, and the South Coast Jazz Festival.

Avery released her debut album, “Life Lessons” at the start of 2016 and is set to release a new album "Without A Little Rain" this spring, which she is working on with Juno winning producer, Greg Kavanagh. The album will be of RnB/Blues style with a kick of Jazz.
